Cast change 2022 for Sonic and Keanu Reeves as Shadow the hedgehog

I'm just now finding out they did a full recast on Sonic the Hedgehog again. Kurt Thornton is no longer Shadow and Roger Craig Smith is no longer Sonic. I had some very strong opinions more about Kurt Thornton and I'm kind of glad they did a recast. I'm more disappointed that they recasted for people who sound similar instead of just shaking the whole thing up. If you're gonna recast the voice actors why not just go ahead and change the voices to make them sound different and distinguish them from the previous actors? The only one that I could actually tell had been recast was Doctor Eggman because he only sounds slightly different at first, but then he sounded more like his previous voice actor. I also have very strong opinions about how they unceremoniously change voice actors with Sonic the hedgehog. Unceremoniously changing an entire cast is pretty rare throughout the entire industry, but very common when it comes to Sonic the hedgehog. I don't think it's right. It's a disservice to the fans.

I also just saw the news that they will be casting Keanu Reeves as Shadow the hedgehog and Sonic the hedgehog 3. I might actually watch it. I still have a lot of strong opinions about casting Jim Carrey as Dr Robotnik instead of finding somebody who actually looks like the character, but I can make a stretch for Keanu Reeves. It better be good, though. I want to be absolutely clear that I'm here for Keanu Reeves, not Jim Carrey.

healthy choice Cafe steamers grilled chicken marinara with parmesan

I'll skip the packaging review, because you already know that part from the two previous blog post. My opinion about that hasn't changed. This is also another regular purchase for me. the overall packaging of the meal is great quality, but the parmesan amount can vary. Be aware that they skimp on the parmesan. The chicken is tender, and the noodles and broccoli have a slight firmness. It's all Greek to Me. The sauce in this one is on the weak side, in my opinion but still flavorful. something I'm noticing so far with a lot of these microwave dinners is that they're not full dinners because they focus on quality over quantity, but the quantity is was lacking. It's also the same price as the others: $2.99, on sale. Normally, $3.99 or $4.99. it won't get you full, but it can hold you over for an hour or two. I would say it's worth two or three, but not four.

I don't think miraculous was trying to be sailor moon but they have a lot in common

Here are some parallels between miraculous ladybug and Sailor Moon! Daft, clumsy teenager that believes that she's a loser when she's actually loved by everyone.  Unnecessary unhealthy and toxic relationship practices due to secret identities.  Talking animal partners. Queer coded characters! Although Sailor Moon was way more out loud about it! I don't know what France is doing. Characters lose their items and swap powers. We love power swaps, though! Love interest getting shot down and trying to deny their feeling, which makes everything worse. I will say that on Marinette's end, she never really got shot down. She just didn't know how to handle being a friend. Some of the characters can never fall in love, because of their duties. Miraculous wrote this in as a very self-imposed rule when they don't follow the boundaries that they set for the show in any other case. In Miraculous, relationships can work if people make better decisions. In Sailor Moon, the sailo...

Racism, Tim Burton, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

A lot of people have forgotten about this, but a years ago, Tim Burton said that he doesn't cast black people because race has nothing to do with the context of any of his movies.  I think this happened after Beetlejuice 1988. Black people were casted as football players in the afterlife. That makes sense. Most football players are black. We figured out decades later why that's problematic with the Kaepernick situation. Entertainment is all black people are allowed to have so when an entertainer has a political opinion it's easy to tell them to shut up. "Dance, monkey! Dance!" narrative. But with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice having that soul train scene after he said it, the context tells me that black people are allowed to exist in Tim Burton's aesthetic if they are not stereotypical singing dancing caricatures.  A lot of (white) people will argue that Tim Burton isn't racist because he casted a Latina to play Astrid. The problem with that is a lot of Mexicans...
