Knights of Sidonia by Tsutomu Nihei The library only has a few volumes with nine being the earliest. Just a quick look, more reading a book by it's cover maybe, but I don't think it's that complicated. It's a very in-depth storyline with a decent amount of female characters, and everyone seems like they're in a very respectable role. with the body horror mutilation that's going on I can say it's anti-fan service so far. My comparison at-a-glance is picking up neon Genesis Evangelion, attack on Titan, and Gundams, in space. the back of the book says that someone else is also described it as attack on Titans in space, but I like to offer more diversity. And, to me, it screams way more the original neon Genesis Evangelion in space. I think it has some romantic undertones, but it's not as heterosexual as it seems. At least, I think it's not.
