The not so lost moments of miraculous ladybug and Cat Noir

I've been looking at this "anime" again, and once I dug my head out of the favorite moment compilation videos on YouTube I saw a lot of stuff that made things make sense that fell by the wayside.

People call Adrian clueless, but she told Adrian to his face that she doesn't like him as a love interest. Of course, it's kind of dumb for Adrian to believe that, but on the other hand why should he believe that one of his friends is lying to his face? Everything that happened was Marinette's fault, as usual.

Also, the reason why Marinette treats Chat Noir as incompetent is also explained. When Adrian got turned into glitter by style Queen, Master Fu told her that ChatNoir lost his miraculous. And it's not like Adrian could explain his way out of it, because that would have revealed his secret identity. A lot of people got turned into glitter, as well, so it actually didn't make sense to lie. In "Mr Pigeon 72" where Adrian got turned into a pigeon and Plagg just straight up told ladybug that Adrian "got feathered". And, Adrian got hit by Reflectka, and was still useful. It just adds on that there was no reason to lie about him getting hit by a villain. It can happen to anyone, and that doesn't make someone incompetent.

Side note: speaking of reflectka, it was good that they had their jewelry off, because they both got hit. That was an added into the moral of the story because of shit writing.

I also just rewatched the power swop, and the writers minimized chat noir's role. They had Adrian sympathize with ladybug but didn't have Marinette sympathize with Chat Nior. Then they had them lie about him losing his ring when they didn't have to, and didn't lie later when he got turned into a pigeon. They just worked to minimize his role to minimize his role to justify him being treated poorly. They made the guy a punching bag that I couldn't even feel bad for because he's not relatable. I just thought he was extremely troubled and dumb.

Adults writing teenagers without a teenager's perspective... BUT THEN THEY WRITE ALL THE SIDE CHARACTERS WELL! ChloĆ© Bourgeois is more relatable than the main characters! I've said it before and I'm going to keep saying it! I just fully watched the Zoe episode, and Zoe is written in a relatable manner!

I'm likely to jump off the rails from here, so I'll end this post ... Asking why fans ignore details and then complain. Yeah, the writing is shit but they still wrote it.

healthy choice Cafe steamers grilled chicken marinara with parmesan

I'll skip the packaging review, because you already know that part from the two previous blog post. My opinion about that hasn't changed. This is also another regular purchase for me. the overall packaging of the meal is great quality, but the parmesan amount can vary. Be aware that they skimp on the parmesan. The chicken is tender, and the noodles and broccoli have a slight firmness. It's all Greek to Me. The sauce in this one is on the weak side, in my opinion but still flavorful. something I'm noticing so far with a lot of these microwave dinners is that they're not full dinners because they focus on quality over quantity, but the quantity is was lacking. It's also the same price as the others: $2.99, on sale. Normally, $3.99 or $4.99. it won't get you full, but it can hold you over for an hour or two. I would say it's worth two or three, but not four.

I don't think miraculous was trying to be sailor moon but they have a lot in common

Here are some parallels between miraculous ladybug and Sailor Moon! Daft, clumsy teenager that believes that she's a loser when she's actually loved by everyone.  Unnecessary unhealthy and toxic relationship practices due to secret identities.  Talking animal partners. Queer coded characters! Although Sailor Moon was way more out loud about it! I don't know what France is doing. Characters lose their items and swap powers. We love power swaps, though! Love interest getting shot down and trying to deny their feeling, which makes everything worse. I will say that on Marinette's end, she never really got shot down. She just didn't know how to handle being a friend. Some of the characters can never fall in love, because of their duties. Miraculous wrote this in as a very self-imposed rule when they don't follow the boundaries that they set for the show in any other case. In Miraculous, relationships can work if people make better decisions. In Sailor Moon, the sailo...

Racism, Tim Burton, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

A lot of people have forgotten about this, but a years ago, Tim Burton said that he doesn't cast black people because race has nothing to do with the context of any of his movies.  I think this happened after Beetlejuice 1988. Black people were casted as football players in the afterlife. That makes sense. Most football players are black. We figured out decades later why that's problematic with the Kaepernick situation. Entertainment is all black people are allowed to have so when an entertainer has a political opinion it's easy to tell them to shut up. "Dance, monkey! Dance!" narrative. But with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice having that soul train scene after he said it, the context tells me that black people are allowed to exist in Tim Burton's aesthetic if they are not stereotypical singing dancing caricatures.  A lot of (white) people will argue that Tim Burton isn't racist because he casted a Latina to play Astrid. The problem with that is a lot of Mexicans...
