Mastodon (and Gab) is for the miserable

something I have observed is that people aren't very celebratory about anything on Mastodon. And when people are celebratory, there are always people trying to shoot people down. Twitter is for people who want to watch the world burn, but Mastodon is for those who want to remain in misery. And those are two different things. The reality of this hit me on Valentine's day, when people were talking over the legacy of st. Valentine who is basically one of the first recorded marriage equality activists in history. a lot of what I saw was people trying to shut down Valentine's day for present-day political issues. Shouldn't those things be important all the time and not just when you're shouting down the historical figure? Another piece of evidence is when someone posted about how they lost two followers when they posted that their partner had accepted their marriage proposal. Mastodon (and Gab) is for people who want to rant about politics or were redeem soc

Scott & Jon's garlic butter shrimp Rice bowl review

The portion size was to be expected, although I was happy with it for the $3.99 price tag. It was a little bit more garlic than butter tasting, and salt was a very prominent flavor, but those are all fine with me. the butter was to add to the smoothness of the food texture, not the flavor. the quality of the shrimp is on par with the previous bowls, being excellent quality. It was a very satisfying bowl.  I highly suggest it! Video review here: https://youtu.be/kzCV9bUL-hk

ocean's Halo miso ramen bowl

This is really showing off some aesthetically desirable and environmentally friendly packaging. The food was gross, and it didn't have kelp in it.

osomatsu-san: the end of season 1 versus the end of season 2

A recount of the events of the end of season 1: Choromatsu gets a job and is the first to move out. Everyone else is happy except Osomatsu, and it results in a family falling out where everyone leaves except Osomatsu. A letter arrives inviting them to a tournament. Chaos, calamity, and comedy ensue and everyone is brought back to square one. A recount of the events of the end of season 2:  Matsuzou suddenly falls ill, and must stay in the hospital for days, upon weeks. well the main breadwinner is in the hospital, the adult children get jobs and do chores around the house. Just when it seems like they've all gotten their lives together, a sudden plane crash not only destroys half of the house, but also kills all six of the offspring. as far as I can remember, this happens while Matsuzou is still in the hospital. They go into the Afterlife, and fight for a little bit, see all of the other characters throughout the series, and escaped back into the living world, back into their bodie

Takoda 3

something that I may have neglected to mention before, that even if I did mention I would like to highlight, is that when I told the assistant director about my concern, the response was "we hardly ever get any complaints". I feel like that ultimately pissed me off, because I feel like when people say that they're making a commentary on the person who is saying something, rather than what they're talking about. It seems like they're framing the person addressing the issues as the one having the issues rather than the issues actually existing.  You not getting complaints isn't my problem, and it's nothing that I need to know. Just because other people don't complain doesn't mean that there aren't issues, first of all.  and I feel like it's belittling to the person's issues because you never had issues before, secondly.  if someone ever tells you that, don't back down. Because I feel like that's what that statement is made for. St
